How to Translate Calls in JustCall

Conference TalkTool into a JustCall call and your AI interpreter translates both sides in real time across 60+ languages. No native integration to set up, and nothing for your customer to install.

How do I add an interpreter to a JustCall call?

Usage is measured from call duration, including both participants’ speaking time. Included plan minutes are used before prepaid minutes; additional usage is $0.30 per minute. A total of 20 billable minutes costs $6 before any included allowance.

Add a live interpreter to a JustCall call

  1. 1

Get your TalkTool number and org code

Create a TalkTool account to receive your conference-in phone number and your organization code. You'll dial this number from JustCall and enter the org code to authenticate the call. Keep both handy next to your JustCall dialer.

    • Pin your TalkTool number as a JustCall contact or speed dial so reps can reach it in one tap
    • Your org code is the same for every rep, so share it once with the team
    • Test the flow once on an internal call before using it with a customer
  2. 2

Start or answer the call in JustCall

Place or receive the customer call as you normally would from the JustCall desktop app, browser extension, or mobile app. Confirm you're connected and the call timer is running before you add the interpreter.

    • This works the same whether the call is inbound or outbound
    • No need to change your JustCall number, routing, or IVR settings
    • If the customer is not on the line yet, you can still start with TalkTool first using press 2 below
  3. 3

    Conference in your TalkTool number

Use JustCall's Add Call / Conference control (or start a warm transfer) to dial your TalkTool conference number. JustCall puts the customer on a brief hold while TalkTool answers, then you merge everyone onto the same call.

    • If you don't see a dedicated conference button, a warm transfer to the TalkTool number achieves the same result
    • On the JustCall mobile app, look for the add-call or merge option in the in-call controls
    • You can set up TalkTool first and have it dial the customer if you prefer (see press 1 below)
  4. 4

Enter your org code, then the language code

When TalkTool answers, enter your organization code and press #. Then enter the two-digit code for the customer's language, for example 01 for Spanish. TalkTool confirms the language before connecting.

    • Keep a short cheat sheet of the language codes your team uses most
    • You can change the language on a later call if you reach the wrong one
    • Use the JustCall keypad to enter the digits during the call
  5. 5

Press 1 or 2, then merge and talk

Press 1 to have TalkTool dial your customer, or press 2 if they're already on the JustCall call. Merge all parties into one conference and start talking. TalkTool interprets both sides live for a flat $0.30/min, and saves a transcript and summary afterward.

    • Speak in normal sentences and pause briefly so the interpreter can render each turn
    • Let the customer know an interpreter is on the line for a smoother first exchange
    • Review the two-language transcript in your TalkTool dashboard after hanging up

Why add TalkTool to JustCall calls

Live AI translation on the calls you already make — nothing to install.

Works with your existing JustCall setup

No marketplace app, plugin, or API integration to install. TalkTool joins over the phone using JustCall's own conference and warm-transfer controls, so nothing changes in your JustCall account.

60+ languages on demand

From Spanish and Mandarin to Haitian Creole and Vietnamese, pick the customer's language with a two-digit code right from the JustCall keypad.

Live interpretation in 1-2 seconds

The AI translates both directions almost instantly, so JustCall reps hold a natural back-and-forth without waiting on a hold queue.

Flat $0.30 per minute

Usage is measured from call duration, including both participants’ speaking time. Included plan minutes are used before prepaid minutes; additional usage is $0.30 per minute. A total of 20 billable minutes costs $6 before any included allowance.

No app for your customer

The other party stays on the normal phone call and hears a natural-sounding voice in their language. Nothing to download, sign up for, or configure.

Transcript and summary saved

Every call produces a two-language transcript and an AI summary in your TalkTool dashboard, useful for CRM notes, QA, and follow-up.

JustCall is built for sales and support teams that live in the dialer and their CRM, and language barriers slow those conversations down. TalkTool adds a live AI interpreter to any JustCall call by conferencing in over the phone, so reps keep speaking English while customers hear their own language, with no integration to install.

How TalkTool works with JustCall

JustCall already gives your reps the controls they need: an in-call dialer with conference / add-call and warm transfer. TalkTool plugs into those existing controls. On a live call, your rep uses JustCall's add-call or conference option to dial the TalkTool number, or starts a warm transfer to it, briefly placing the customer on hold while TalkTool answers.

Once connected, the rep enters the organization code and presses #, then the two-digit language code for the customer (for example, 01 for Spanish), and presses 1 to have TalkTool dial the customer or 2 if they're already on the line. Merge everyone into one conference and the AI interprets both directions in about one to two seconds. Learn more about the underlying flow on our conference-in an AI interpreter guide.

Crucially, none of this requires a native JustCall integration. TalkTool is a party on the telephone call, not a JustCall app or API connector, which is why it runs on top of any JustCall plan, number, or device without configuration changes. See how the AI phone interpreter works end to end.

AI interpreter vs. a human interpreter

Usage is measured from call duration, including both participants’ speaking time. Included plan minutes are used before prepaid minutes; additional usage is $0.30 per minute. A total of 20 billable minutes costs $6 before any included allowance.

TalkTool's AI interpreter is instant with no hold queue, available 24/7, and keeps the call private with no extra human listening in, all for a flat $0.30/min. For the vast majority of sales, support, scheduling, and intake calls, that's faster and dramatically cheaper. For rare high-stakes legal or complex clinical conversations, a certified human may still be the right call. See how teams reduce interpreter costs and how TalkTool compares as a LanguageLine alternative.

Who at a JustCall shop benefits

Sales reps prospecting and closing Spanish- or Mandarin-speaking buyers can run the whole conversation themselves instead of scheduling a callback with an interpreter. Support and success teams can resolve tickets on the first call without a language hold. Operations, collections, and appointment-setting teams can reach customers in their own language without staffing bilingual agents for every shift.

Because the interpreter joins over the phone, a single TalkTool number serves your entire JustCall team. Reps on the desktop app, the browser extension, or the mobile app all use the same conference-in flow, and every call is logged with a two-language transcript and AI summary you can paste into your CRM notes.

What it costs and what you get

Usage is measured from call duration, including both participants’ speaking time. Included plan minutes are used before prepaid minutes; additional usage is $0.30 per minute. A total of 20 billable minutes costs $6 before any included allowance.

Every TalkTool call also produces a two-language transcript and an AI summary in your dashboard, handy for QA, compliance records, and follow-up. And because TalkTool also handles voicemail translation, missed calls in another language don't turn into lost customers.

Add interpretation without changing JustCall
Because TalkTool joins over the phone, you conference or warm-transfer to your TalkTool number from the JustCall dialer, no plugin, API, or marketplace app required. It works on the desktop app, browser extension, and mobile app alike.

JustCall translation FAQ

Does TalkTool integrate with JustCall?
There's no native integration to set up, and you don't need one. TalkTool joins your call over the regular phone network as another party, so it works alongside JustCall the same way it works with any phone system. You simply conference in or warm-transfer to your TalkTool number from the JustCall dialer. Because it doesn't depend on a JustCall plugin or API, it keeps working even if you change JustCall plans, numbers, or apps.
How much does it cost?
Usage is measured from call duration, including both participants’ speaking time. Included plan minutes are used before prepaid minutes; additional usage is $0.30 per minute. A total of 20 billable minutes costs $6 before any included allowance.
Which languages are supported?
More than 60, including Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, French, Korean, Haitian Creole, and many more. You select the customer's language with a two-digit code when you conference TalkTool in. See the full list and language codes in your dashboard.
Do my customers need an app?
No. Your customer stays on the ordinary JustCall phone call and hears a natural-sounding voice speaking their language. There's nothing for them to download, install, or sign up for, which makes it work for customers on any landline or mobile phone.
Is an AI interpreter as good as a human interpreter?
For most everyday business calls, scheduling, account questions, support, intake, and sales, the AI interpreter is fast and accurate, and it has real advantages: it's available 24/7 with no hold queue, there's no third human listening in, and it costs a fraction of a human service. For high-stakes legal or complex medical situations you may still want a certified human interpreter, but for the bulk of JustCall conversations the AI handles the language barrier instantly.
Does this work on the JustCall mobile app and desktop app?
Yes. Because TalkTool connects over the phone, it works wherever you take JustCall calls, the desktop app, the browser extension, the deskphone, or the JustCall mobile app. Anywhere you can conference in or transfer to a number, you can add the interpreter.
Will adding TalkTool interfere with my JustCall routing or recording?
No. TalkTool doesn't touch your JustCall configuration, IVR, or number routing. It's just another party on the call, so your existing JustCall setup, CRM logging, and call handling continue to work normally. TalkTool separately saves its own two-language transcript and summary in your dashboard.
Can the interpreter dial the customer for me?
Yes. After you enter the language code, press 1 to have TalkTool place the call to your customer, or press 2 if they're already connected on your JustCall call. Either way, everyone ends up on one conference with live interpretation.

Your next conversation can speak their language.

Add a live AI interpreter to your next JustCall call for a flat $0.30/minute — conference it in or let it dial your customer. No contract, no app for the other side.
