Add a Live AI Interpreter to Any Net2Phone Call
TalkTool conferences a real-time AI interpreter into your Net2Phone calls so you and your customer each hear your own language in 1-2 seconds. Nothing to install on Net2Phone, no app for your customer, flat $0.25 a minute.
How do I add an interpreter to a Net2Phone call?
During a live Net2Phone call, use the app's Add Call, Conference, or Transfer control to dial your TalkTool conference number, then merge it into the call. When TalkTool answers, enter your organization code followed by #, then the two-digit code for the other person's language (for example, 01 for Spanish). Press 1 to have TalkTool dial your customer, or press 2 if they are already on the line with you. From that point the AI interpreter listens to both sides and speaks each person's words in the other's language, with about a one-to-two second delay. You keep talking on your normal Net2Phone softphone (the Unite app), deskphone, or mobile app — the customer stays on the regular phone line and hears a natural voice in their language, with no app or download on their end. TalkTool supports 60+ languages at a flat $0.25 per minute, with no contract and no minimums. There is no native Net2Phone integration, marketplace app, or API connector to set up: TalkTool joins over the telephone network, so it works alongside whatever Net2Phone plan or device you already use. After you hang up, a two-language transcript and an AI summary are saved to your TalkTool dashboard for your records.

Add a live interpreter to a Net2Phone call
- 1
Get your TalkTool number and org code
Sign up for TalkTool to receive your conference-in number and your organization code. You will dial this number from Net2Phone and enter the org code to start every interpreted call. Keep both handy in a saved contact or your CRM.
- Save the TalkTool number as a Net2Phone contact for one-tap dialing
- Your org code is the same for every agent on the account
- No phone-number porting or Net2Phone reconfiguration required
- 2
On the live call, add a line with Net2Phone's Conference control
While you are on the Net2Phone call (or before you place an outbound one), use the Add Call, Conference, or three-way-call control in the Net2Phone Unite desktop or mobile app and dial your TalkTool conference number. This brings TalkTool into the call as a third party.
- In the Unite softphone, look for the Add Call or Conference button in the active-call controls
- On a deskphone, use the Conf / Transfer soft key, then dial TalkTool
- If your customer is already on hold, dial TalkTool first and merge after
- 3
Enter your org code, then your language code
When TalkTool picks up, key in your organization code followed by #. Then enter the two-digit code for the language your customer speaks — for example, 01 for Spanish. TalkTool reads back the language so you can confirm before connecting.
- Enter the code on your Net2Phone dialpad just like any IVR
- The full language list and codes are in your TalkTool dashboard
- Wrong code? Hang up that leg and re-dial TalkTool to start over
- 4
Press 1 to dial out or 2 if already connected
Press 1 to have TalkTool place the call to your customer for you, or press 2 if the customer is already merged into the Net2Phone conference. TalkTool then joins as the interpreter and begins translating both directions live.
- Press 1 for outbound calls so TalkTool handles the dial
- Press 2 when you have already merged the customer into the conference
- Both directions are interpreted automatically — no button toggling mid-call
- 5
Talk normally and review the transcript afterward
Speak in your language; your customer hears theirs, and their replies come back to you translated, with about a one-to-two second delay. When the call ends, open your TalkTool dashboard for the two-language transcript and AI summary.
- Pause briefly after each thought so the interpreter can catch up
- Billing is a flat $0.25/min for the interpreted portion only
- Drop the transcript or summary into your CRM or case notes
Why add TalkTool to Net2Phone calls
Live AI translation on the calls you already make — nothing to install.
Works with your existing Net2Phone setup
No marketplace app, plugin, or API integration. TalkTool joins over the phone line, so it works on your current Net2Phone Unite desktop app, mobile app, or deskphone with nothing to install.
60+ languages on demand
Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, Arabic, Portuguese and more. Pick the language with a two-digit code at the start of each call.
Instant — no hold queue
There is no interpreter line to wait on. Conference TalkTool in and translation is live in seconds, 24/7, even at 2 a.m.
Flat $0.25 per minute
One simple rate, no contracts or minimums. Roughly 6-14x cheaper than a human phone interpreter at $1.50-$3.50 a minute.
No third human on the line
Just you, your customer, and the AI. The conversation stays private and direct instead of routing every sentence through a stranger.
Transcript and summary saved
Every interpreted call produces a two-language transcript and an AI summary in your TalkTool dashboard, ready for your CRM or case file.

Net2Phone gives growing businesses a full cloud phone system, but it does not turn a Spanish- or Mandarin-speaking customer into one your agents can understand. TalkTool fills that gap by conferencing a live AI interpreter into the Net2Phone calls you already make — no integration, no per-seat license, and no app for the customer.
How TalkTool works with Net2Phone
TalkTool does not plug into Net2Phone through a marketplace app or API. It joins your call the same way a colleague would on a three-way call — over the phone line. That is the whole point: because it rides the telephone network, it works identically on the Net2Phone Unite desktop softphone, the mobile app, and physical deskphones, with nothing to install or provision.
The flow is the same every time. On a live call, use Net2Phone's Add Call, Conference, or Transfer control to dial your TalkTool conference number. Enter your organization code and #, then the two-digit language code for your customer (for example, 01 for Spanish). Press 1 to have TalkTool dial the customer for you, or 2 if they are already merged into the call. From there the AI interprets both directions with a one-to-two second delay. See the full walkthrough on conference in an AI interpreter.
AI interpreter vs. a human phone interpreter
A traditional over-the-phone interpreter means dialing a vendor line, waiting in a queue, briefing a human, and then routing every sentence through a third person who is listening to your customer's account details. TalkTool removes the queue and the third human: translation starts within seconds of conferencing in, it is available 24/7, and the conversation stays between you and your customer.
Human interpreters still matter where a certified professional is legally required. For the everyday volume — intake, billing, scheduling, support, sales — an AI interpreter handles it instantly at a fraction of the cost. Many teams reserve human interpreters only for the calls that mandate one. Compare the math on reducing interpreter costs and against legacy vendors on our LanguageLine alternatives page.
Who at a Net2Phone shop benefits
Net2Phone's buyers are small and mid-sized businesses and contact centers that wanted enterprise phone features without enterprise overhead — property management offices, medical and dental front desks, logistics and dispatch, home services, insurance, and inbound sales teams. These are exactly the teams that hit a language wall a few times a week and have no budget for a full interpretation contract.
Because any agent can conference TalkTool in from their own device with a shared org code, a five-person front desk or a fifty-seat call center adopts it the same way. A receptionist taking a call in the Net2Phone mobile app and an agent on the Unite desktop softphone follow the identical dial-in steps.
What it costs
TalkTool is a flat $0.25 per minute for the interpreted portion of the call — no contracts, no minimums, no per-seat fees. You pay for the minutes you actually translate, which makes it easy to start on a few calls a week and scale up.
Every interpreted call also produces a two-language transcript and an AI summary in your dashboard at no extra charge, which you can drop into your CRM or case notes. See full details on the AI phone interpreter page and pricing.
