Wait for number activation
Open My Numbers → Add number. Choose Incoming number for a line your contact can call back and follow the setup prompts. On the number-selection step, choose Canada and the local type. Wait until the number is active and available as caller ID.
Open the dashboard dialer
Under Call from, select your active Canada TalkTool number. Check that you have available minutes and the International Calling add-on.
Set both languages
Choose your speaking language and your contact’s language, then enable Start translating immediately. The pairing above is an example; confirm what each person speaks.
Dial Italy in international format
Enter the destination in +39 international format, including its full national number. Use the international-format number supplied by your contact. Resolve any coverage message before starting the call.

Can I speak English (US) while my contact speaks Italian?
Yes, both appear in TalkTool’s language settings. Select the language each person speaks in the dashboard before placing the call. Language support is separate from number eligibility and destination coverage; it does not mean the number has received regulatory approval.
Does my contact need a Canada number or a TalkTool account?
No. Your contact answers their existing supported Italy phone number. You place the call from your TalkTool dashboard using the eligible origin number. Your contact does not need to install an app.
